If there was 1 flower that represented Kathy, it was the hydrangea. It was her favorite flower. Bold and beautiful pinks & greens when in bloom, and when cut & dried, the colors fade but still beautiful and memorable. When her life was taken too soon, it was devastating for her 3 children and husband. These 4 identical mosaics of a hydrangea bloom include 196 images of Kathy, her family and friends. They were gifted to the children by their father, who kept the 4th mosaic for himself to cherish.

Deb and her husband never look at their wedding photos that are still in negative format in a box. So, she gave them new life and an ability to regularly view them by having them incorporated into this mosaic. The final image is one that is special to both of them, her husband walking on the beach, surfboard tucked under his arm, on a beach close to home. Now it is even more special because it uses 510 of their wedding photos. The horizon line is made up of 45 photos taken recently of the couple and their 3 boys, representing their future. This piece was given to her husband on their 10th wedding anniversary.
